Welcome from your 2011 Secretary General

Greetings Fellow Delegates, Faculty Advisors and Prospective Participants, 

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to 6^th annual Florida Model United Nations, held this year from Oct. 7^th-8^th, 2011.  In these past five years, FMUN has provided college students with a unique Model United Nations experience.  Delegates who have participated in the past have seen their skills as a diplomat progressed to new heights.  As you learn from each other, growing in experience and skill, so too does FMUN.  FMUN always seeks to better itself, year after year, in order to provide you a top notch conference. 

The best MUN conference provides a highly educational experience and an enjoyable, professional environment.  FMUN provides the perfect mix of training for both newcomers and veterans to the world of MUN.  Every great Delegate had to start somewhere, they’ve learned from one another and in the end they bettered each other.  First time MUN delegates should come knowing that help will always be offered as they participate, as there are always plenty of veterans who come back each year implementing the skills they’ve learned from other conferences.  FMUN provides an experienced, professional staff that have attended or staffed multiple other MUN conferences.  If you’ve ever participated in an MUN conference, it falls to you to lead and further progress conferences with fellow Delegates in FMUN.

In the coming months, I will do my best to prepare FMUN VI so that it lives and exceeds the expectations of every participating Delegate and visiting MUN organizations.  I can always be reached, to answer any and all questions regarding FMUN.  I hope to see you all at this year’s Florida Model United Nations.
